Lithium Ion Batteries (Li-Ion):

A lithium-ion battery is a type of rechargeable battery that relies on lithium ions moving between the anode and cathode to store and release energy. Known for their high energy density, these batteries can store significant amounts of energy in a compact size, making them ideal for applications like smartphones, electric vehicles, and solar energy systems.

They offer longer lifespan compared to traditional batteries, often lasting between 10-15 years or thousands of charge cycles. Lithium-ion batteries also feature high efficiency, typically with 90-95% of the energy being recovered during use, which reduces energy waste.

They have a low self-discharge rate, meaning they retain their charge for longer periods when not in use. Additionally, they support fast charging, making them ideal for situations where quick energy replenishment is needed. Lightweight and low maintenance, lithium-ion batteries are more convenient to install and manage compared to lead-acid alternatives. With a wide temperature tolerance and high depth of discharge (DoD), they can safely discharge a large portion of their stored energy without damage.

They are environmentally friendly, with better recyclability and lower carbon emissions compared to older battery technologies.
